The bright orange Fork in Nigeria food truck, parked and serving

2020

First plate served

It started with one orange truck.

Fork in Nigeria began on four wheels, cooking the food we grew up on for anyone curious enough to try it. Jollof that takes its time. Egusi thick enough to hold a spoon. Puff puff you can’t stop at one.

Detroit showed up hungry, then kept coming back. Today the truck has company: five kitchens across Michigan and Ohio, and catering for everything from office lunches to weddings.

Our story

Don’t take our word for it

“We asked what we should try, and they were so nice about helping us decide. Wound up getting ox tails and rice, fufu meal with goat, and zobo tea. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. Looking forward to trying some other dishes next time.”
